Day 25 of the September Tarot Challenge and today’s prompt is “what is something about my journey I can be grateful of or for?” I’m in the mood for some reminders of what to be grateful for. Today is kind of blah, so hit me, Tarot!
Grateful for Meditation
Cups, cups, cups. This tells me that the answer lies beneath, in my connection to the subconscious. The Queen of Cups sits in her lotus flower floating lightly above the waters of emotion, completely at peace. By strengthening my intuition and communication with the unknown I achieve this state of mindfulness. This state is far off now, but I do feel some peace creeping into my life. As a result of these daily readings and my meditation practice, creativity bubbles up in all parts of my life.
Grateful to Move On
The Five of Cups holds the classic meaning of mourning what is lost instead of recognizing and feeling grateful for what remains. There are other, deeper meanings, but right now the reminder to stop obsessing with what is done and over is very strong. This card also reminds me to meditate on the right things. Meditating on loss is important and helps us both move forward and handle loss more constructively. Mourning is an important part of life, but at some point, those emotions need to focus on what will move us forward.
Being Grateful in Times of Difficulty
Finally, the Knight of Cups arrives to remind me that inspiration and power can be found even in the choppiest emotional waters. The very strong message here is about powering through those days when I feel down or when my moods are all over the place. Feeling grateful while feeling down is difficult for sure, but Knights are about action and this card insists I be active.
Admittedly, this is a tough spread for me both to read and understand because I’m in one of those down moods today. Messages about rising above or looking at what remains rather than what is lost are difficult to even deal with. My sarcastic inner voice is saying “No duh.” And as for action, the last thing I feel like doing today is taking action.
Dealing with a resistant mind is different for every person. For me, it just means I need to step back, take a day off, and just do something that doesn’t require a lot of critical thinking. I’m grateful to work for myself and te be able just to step back and take a day off.
What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot
I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.
Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
