Finances seem to be important in this week two of October. Outside things are still cooling down. I think we are out of the 80s finally and firmly into mid- to low-70s.
Every week I have a group of clients for whom I do a personalized 3-card reading which gives an idea of what challenges they may face during the week. Today’s draw is more general and will let all of us know what we can look forward to this week.
Protect Your Finances
The Four of Pentacles today is all about holding on tight to what you think is yours, especially when talking about material goods, finances, or money. There’s a feeling of cold with this card today which I’ve never felt before. Things are tough for the figure inside the castle, but he is holed up and prepared to wait things out.
Intuition is a funny thing. Usually, this card feels like “I’m over it”, or a lack of interest in what we have, but today I’m not feeling that at all. I’m getting a much more Five of Pentacles vibe. Get your finances in order this week and make contingency plans for if you lose an income stream. I’m not saying that is going to happen! This card is just telling us to be financially smart and hold onto what we have instead of accumulating more.
The Fight Isn’t Over
The Nine of Pentacles reminds us the fight, struggle, or competition isn’t over yet. Clean up and protect what you can and bind your wounds because the next wave is going to hit. This may seem like a bad thing, but actually means you’re nearing the end of whatever has been going on the past few weeks. Pay attention to details and make sure you don’t stop before the real conclusion is achieved.
So it looks like we need to protect our finances or material goods, but continue to get out there and finish what we started.
Look Inward
The Queen of Cups makes another appearance. Personally, I know her message: “keep up your meditation practice”. Everyone else needs to pay attention to how they feel about things that crop up this week. Trust your gut, your intuition, to find alternative solutions. The stork is really strong for me this week, which suggests something new is coming or perhaps an old project or idea will be reborn in a slightly different form.
There is also a suggestion of what you need can’t be bought, but are found within. Finances seem to be at play in all of these cards today!
Looking at the cards together, this doesn’t look like a great week to go out and spend a bunch of time or money on things you aren’t absolutely sure of. You aren’t finished yet, so now isn’t the time to celebrate a win or slack off. But you aren’t far from the end, you just need a little push to get over the finish line. Trust your intuition or gut feeling about things this week. You should always do this, of course, but this week especially your own common sense and intuition are going to hoard your finances and help you to the finish line.
What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot
I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.
Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
You have the deep knowledge of each and every card. How do you come to know about the problems of others through these tarot cards.?
I usually work a bit with the client to understand what they want to know and craft a question that will work with the Tarot. Since nearly all of my readings are remote, I concentrate on the person and their question while shuffling and choosing the cards. I’m still constantly surprised at how what I read makes sense for my clients.
Good that you are having cooler days. Our weather here in California is still hanging in the 90s and 80s. Typical for us though.
We are committed to getting organized in some areas of our household before year end and finances is included.
The coaching training I have received emphasises asking questions. The client already knows the proper solution for them.
The key to unlocking the answer is to open them up to seeing and accepting the solution then encouraging them to build their plan and put it into action.

Exactly right! The Tarot is just another tool for this.
