The Queen of Wands is one of the court cards in the Tarot deck, and is associated with the element of fire. What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot
I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.
Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
Diane, I have never explored Tarot, other than to admire the artwork. I understand “playing cards” are descended from Tarot cards. Now, I’m guessing the “querent” is the person requesting the reading? And what is Sophrosyne Tarot? I read your post closely, and it seems the Queen of Wands (delicious name) is a very interesting and powerful being! If I frame a card of the Queen of Wands and hang it prominently in my space, will I become more outgoing?
Hi Kebba! Actually Tarot is descended from playing cards – the game of trifoni (also known as tarocchi and tarocks) came first.
Cards used exclusively for cartomancy (fortunetelling through cards) come from the late 18th century. What I think of as “classical” Tarot cards have 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana (the “suits”) and were codified around the beginning of the 20th century.
The cards and images aren’t magic – they simply help you understand and see connections and choices in your life and where they might take you if nothing intervenes. You still have to do the work! Posting an image of the Queen of Wands might remind you to be more social, but in and of itself, it won’t do anything.
Diane, You have such an approachable and clear way of explaining tarot. You’ve shown how we can use the Queen of Wands to help us look deeply into ourselves. Thank you!
Thank you, Victoria!
