Apparently, pride is still an issue! After a two-week break, I return and pull an oracle card for the week and pulled the same card last pulled! Since the lesson wasn’t learned the first time, a deeper look is needed.

Examining Pride Through Tarot

I chose my Modern Witch Tarot deck for this reading as it tends to be very clear, blunt, and in-your-face. A good deck when you aren’t responding to subtle nudges.

Pride Reading

Pride and indecisionThere is a strong feeling of willfully refusing to look at an issue or make a decision. The options that are there aren’t inspiring; perhaps a feeling of being too good for them is behind the lack of interest? Maybe fear of failure rears its head and pride says to ignore the issue rather than fail?

Look at those options again. Remove the blindfold and look around. Especially look at those options; perhaps on their own each feels like it isn’t worth the time, but combine them together into something new, something that will inspire you. Or maybe pride attaches too much importance to succeeding with these options. Never trying means never failing.

My own intuition tells me that I need to do the boring stuff, the stuff I’m not sure of, the stuff where my pride is engaged and I might fail, before I can reach the interesting more creative stuff.

But What Should I Do?

In my case, each option needs to be examined and a decision made. Drop it altogether or get it started (or finished)? One project just needs to be dumped and I need to let the stakeholders know. There is a lot of pride involved in admitting I just don’t have the time, interest, and possibly the ability, to complete that project. However, I know that finally ending my participation will feel great!

What is Your Pride Blocking?

Look at your own responsibilities, projects, and goals. Are there any that no longer resonate with you, but pride insists you not drop? Time to make a decision! Open yourself to getting it started or finished, or take it off the table completely.

What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot

I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.

Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
