This is day 24 of the September Tarot Challenge and I’m thinking about how to carry this blogging momentum forward. More personal posts like this? Perhaps a combination of personal and informative? I’ll take this week to think about it.

Today’s prompt is “what lessons that helped me grow am I asked to pay forward?” This aligns with yesterday’s prompt of “in what area and I guided to elevate those around me.” The answer yesterday was my writing, so today should tell me what kinds of articles to focus on.

Eight of Wands - Lo Scarabeo - forwardPaying Forward: The Inner Garden

The first card is the Eight of Wands. There is a real “barbarians at the gates” feel to this card. Is that a meteor or a rock hurled by a ballista? The message this card gives deals with addressing assaults against our inner peace or self. I’m not sure this is a lesson already learned, in fact, I still fight to learn this lesson every day. However, the key here is to understand there is a barrier erected between the “slings and arrows of outrageous fortune” and my own inner self. Knowing the barrier exists is the biggest step and is a lesson I can pay forward!

Communication and forward movement are parts of the classic meaning of the Eight of Wands. This mirrors my message yesterday, confirming the message of how to elevate those around me.

Death - Lo Scarabeo - Forward

Paying Forward: Weeding the Garden

Next comes my old friend the Death card. Again, Death is about inevitable and deep change. Death’s change occurs at all levels, including the closed garden of the deepest self portrayed in the Eight of Wands. The idea of a garden that needs weeding popped into my mind, removing the clinging, parasitic thoughts and habits choking out creativity, positivity, and hope.

Paying Forward: Making the Most of Lessons

Seven of Swords - Lo Scarabeo - ForwardThe Seven of Swords returns to remind me of the lessons learned about finding good in otherwise bad situations. Every situation has a lesson, something that will help us grow. The lesson might be about the power of small kindnesses when a nurse holds your hand during a painful procedure or the importance of boundaries in a friendship gone bad.

The message is clear, Lessons learned about our inner, highest self, the work needed to protect and nurture this self, and how to take lessons from events and situations, are all ideas I need to pay forward through my writing. I need some time and thought to distill this into something that I can look at while writing to ensure I am on track.

What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot

I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.

Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
