Today’s prompt is “What is manifesting for me” and I take this to mean something that I’m not aware of or something that I’m ignoring. You can see all of the entires for the September Tarot Challenge here.

Six of Cups Manifesting Emotional Desires

Six of Cups - Lo Scarabeo - ManifestingAgain with the three-card spread because it works for me. There is a strong sense of desire and self-control in this spread. The first card is the Six of Cups. My first impression is the obvious connection to the Adam and Eve story. The figure stands in a fountain, surrounded and standing in water. She is fully immersed in her emotions, wants, and desires. What is this card manifesting? A letting go and surrender? That doesn’t feel right to me.

This card makes me feel uneasy. It suggests a total abandon to the whims of emotion. Is she holding the fruit of forbidden knowledge? Is she offering it to the viewer? She hasn’t taken a bite yet. If she does, will she rise above this torrent of emotion and desire?

The Devil Manifesting Physical and Material Desires

The Devinl - Lo Scarabeo - ManifestingI’m going to skip the center card for now and go to the third card which is the Devil. This card represents the ego, the desires, wants, and addictions we all face. The prisoners aren’t even chained – they remain where they are by free will.  This card is very physical, very material, and is manifesting where my choices take me.

Strength Manifests a Path

The Six of Cups is about emotional desires and wants while the Devil is about physical desires and wants. Between them is Strength. Strength is all about gentle firmness, understanding, and control. The lion’s tamer in this image is calm and patient, staying in the moment and understanding the lion. She knows what the lion wants and measures it against what is right and proper.

Strength - Lo Scarabeo - manifestingWhat is manifesting for me is an understanding of how to recognize my emotions, desires, and wants, both physical and emotional. From all of those wants and desires, I’m manifesting the strength to see what I really need and what is truly important. When I know what I need a path can be chosen that takes me closer to my goal, to my Higher Self.

This applies to my life in very personal ways, so I’m only going to share one. I use food to self-soothe when I’m upset, bored, or pretty much any kind of emotion. Food is material, but the feelings that cause me to use food in this way are emotionally based. Strength in the center reminds me to understand those feelings and choose a path that doesn’t deny me but also is best for me.

There’s a lot to unpack here and I’m going to be thinking about this quite a bit today.

What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot

I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.

Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
