After today there are only two days left of the September Tarot Challenge! These final days provide a look back and today’s prompt is “What did my September journey help establish for me?”
And it was a journey! Movement is happening in my life after a few years of stasis. I’m getting excited about creative work again and blogging regularly has helped with this as well. And today’s Tarot spread acknowledges this.
The Journey to Personal Knowledge Management
Temperance can be about creativity. This card calls us to combine opposing or unlike things to create something new. There is also a subtext of diligent work here, along with the Chariot which I’ll discuss in a moment. My September journey not only helped with my creativity but also introduced me to a new way of managing my personal knowledge in the form of a second brain. The single most important lesson I’ve learned this month is how to create notes that will help my future self.
The Journey to Finding Out What I Already Have
The Ten of Cups is about enjoying what I have. During the implementation of my second brain, I discovered information and ideas that I’d forgotten about, but I also began paring back my circles of interest. The less to keep track of, the deeper I can go into information that I usually just skim. Learning to create notes that reflect why the information is important to me opened up many new subjects that I’m interested in writing about. My writing journey just began, however, and I’m looking forward to continuing it next month.
The Journey to Discipline and Self-Control
This month’s journey helped me create a somewhat new set of habits. More work is needed in this area, especially around comfort eating, but my discipline muscles got a good workout this month. Keeping the two horses of my own nature working together for a common goal is difficult and this is a lesson that is still being learned.
As the month progressed and I let go of some thinking patterns and habits that no longer served me, benefits started appearing. I’m a freelance web developer and my business took off this month. This is partially due to the time of year – everyone returns from vacation and is in the mood to start new projects. But it feels like space has opened up for me to make more money. A block has been cleared out.
The Journey Forward
Obviously, I want to continue along this path. My October Tarot challenge aims to test my ability to predict the future, something I’m not sure I can do. These readings will be shorter and quicker, so I’ll supplement my blog posts with articles about topics that arose out of this month’s work.
What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot
I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.
Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
