King of Cups - Lo Scarabeo - personal balanceIt is day 6 of the September Tarot Challenge and today’s prompt is “What Can Help Me Embrace a Calmer Flow in Support of Personal Balance?”

The first card is the King of Cups. This King is the master of emotions, the ruler of flow, letting emotions flow through and observing them. I’m sure he is a great meditator! What really draws me in this card is the crab. My Sun, Mars, and Jupiter are all in Cancer on my zodiac chart with Mercury and Venus on the cusp of Cancer. So the crab definitely caught my attention!

Relating to supporting personal balance, crabs move sideways, side-stepping obstacles and moving around them. Four of Pentacles - Lo Scarabeo - Personal BalanceTheir claws are very strong and it is hard to get them to let go of what they have a firm hold on. Finally, they symbolize domesticity and renewal or rebirth.

Creating a home where I feel safe and can get things done is what I’m taking from this card.

The next card is the Four of Pentacles which is another card about safety and “burrowing in”. This card verifies I’m correct about seeing the King of Cups as creating a safe harbor.  The figure in this card is happy as a crab in his castle with the four towers composed of the elements of fire, water, earth, and air.

Page of Wands - Lo ScarabeoThe final card is the Page of Wands. In the Lo Scarabeo deck, I get the feeling of planting myself somewhere for the night. In fact, I just heard the word “grounding”. Looking back at the first two cards they could also be talking about grounding myself. The Page is out in the world but still takes the time to ground themself.

I get the strong feeling of setting my compass point to grounding, of starting from a point of calmness and a deep connection to the roots or dark waters that flow through all of us.  So, what can help me embrace a calmer flow in support of personal balance? Grounding myself.

So simple, yet so complex!

What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot

I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.

Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
