This week’s focus contains a lot of energy! Three Major Arcanas make an appearance: The Emperor, The Sun, and The Chariot.
First off, the first thing that popped into my head was “heat and then chill”. The first two cards just feel hot, which makes sense because the second card is the Sun! The Chariot is depicted at night and the cold blues contrast with the first two cards.
The Energy of the Emperor: Review
The Emperor gets things done. He’s an organizer, a mentor, a boss, and the ultimate leader. He’s all about order and boundaries. In this card, he is focused on the past and doesn’t look happy. Take a look at how last week went for you. What do you need to bring forward to complete? What went well and what didn’t? Any problems from last week didn’t go away and need to be addressed in some way.
Those crossed legs suggest that nothing is going sour right now. He may not be happy, but his energy feels fairly relaxed. He isn’t going to leap up and take care of the issues right now. So don’t feel like you need to seek resolutions immediately. Be watchful and aware!
The Energy of the Sun: Success
It is hard to find any negative energy with the Sun card. The classic meaning of this card is joy, energy, fulfillment, and success. However, too much of a good thing isn’t great either. Too much time in the sun causes burns and heat-related illnesses. Enjoy your successes this week, but don’t get carried away. There is always more to do and too much self-congratulation may lead to you crossing other people’s boundaries.
That wall is really catching my attention today! Boundaries are important, so make sure you enforce your own boundaries. Don’t let other people, your own desires, or circumstances cross or damage the boundaries you set in place. You might even need to make some decisions on where your boundaries are, so take some time and use the energy of this card to think about it.
The Energy of the Chariot: Momentum
The Chariot is all about momentum and the energy it creates. The charioteer doesn’t need reins to control his horses, each of which wants to go in a different direction. Instead, he uses his own willpower and authority to move forward. And move forward he does. The Chariot doesn’t care if there is a road or anything in the way. It just moves in a straight line to the goal.
To me, it feels like the first part of the week will deal with old issues. You’ll have some successes, but don’t overdo it, and remember that other people need their successes celebrated as well. Things will calm down and after all that Sun-related energy you’ll need to get back on track and use the energy to create momentum for the next thing in your life.
What catches your eye in the cards?
What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot
I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.
Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
I’m not at all familiar with Tarot cards, how it’s played. I think I do like all these cards. I will have to investigate Tarot cards.
I just wanted to say that I really resonated with this reading! Especially the bit about the Sun and how too much of a good thing isn’t great. I feel like I’m in danger of getting burnt out from all the good news lately (if burnout from good news is possible…) and I need to take some time to reflect and enjoy my successes.
How long have you been doing readings? Did it take long for you to learn, or does it “come to you”? I’m just curious how you interpret the meanings of the cards. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
I started reading when I was 15. I did a reading at school during lunch for a girl that was spot on and personal. Our principal told me not to read at school anymore!
At that time I read using the book, not very intuitive but still accurate. Over the years I read for myself and when COVID lockdowns happen I did a year long in-depth course and started reading professionally. Since March of 2020 I’ve done over 200 intuitive readings and that is what really honed my skills. Intuitive readings acknowledge the classic book meanings, but uses your own gut feelings to put together the reading.
I encourage learning the classic, book meanings by heart first. In the beginner course I took we learned 3-4 cards a lesson to begin with.
I’m at the point now where most readings give me feelings about which meanings are important and which aren’t.
