Finish what you started is not something I needed to hear today! It has been a crazy day, I’m late getting a look at the week ahead, and have a busy week ahead. How about you? Expecting a busy week? Something new coming up? Let’s see what the cards say.

Page of Wands

Modern Witch Tarot

First up is the Page of Wands. Pages in general represent the curious child-mind state. To new eyes and a mind unblemished by preconceptions, Pages remind us to look around, be curious, and start something new. The Page of Wands seems to be planting their staff made of living wood into a desert. This might be a good thing if they plan ahead and provide what is needed for it to grow, things like water and fertile soil.

Ace of Cups

 Modern Witch Tarot

This card suggests we might be starting something new this week. Perhaps a new idea, a new client, a new opportunity. Wands represent passion, fire, and the creative spark, so look around and see what catches your attention. You might also see what ongoing projects or interests need some attention to keep moving forward. Don’t plant something and expect it to thrive without your attention!

If you feel like adding another responsibility or project to your cup is just too much, the Ace of Cups begs to differ. You’ve got enough of whatever is needed to get it started. There’s a strong sense of “just start and the resources will come through” with this spread.

Nine of Wands

Modern Witch Tarot

Aces are also about beginnings, but they deal more with seeds or the very first ideas. The position of the Ace of Cups in this spread is more about renewal and replenishment, especially of creative elements or inspiration.

Finally, the Nine of Wands is about perseverance, courage, and stamina. It reminds us that a temporary retreat isn’t a failure. Use the time and space to bandage your wounds and rest before continuing on. The end is in site and if you give up now you’ll waste all the time and energy spent up to this point!

I’m finishing up a large project and getting quite tired of it. There is the temptation just to finish it to get it done and maybe not take the care that I’ve put into the project in earlier phases. My mind is already on my next project, doing some mental planning and thinking about resources, when I should still be focusing on finishing up this current project. I’m tired of it! For me, the cards are reminding me that I still have the resources to finish this project, I should return to it, and finish it off with the same care I took at the beginning of it.

What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot

I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.

Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.

Diane, your posts are always interesting, albeit generally beyond anything I understand. Help me: is the reading you published today intended for everyone, like daily horoscopes are for everyone? Thanks!

Kebba – Yes! When I asked the question and shuffled the cards my intention was “What does everyone need to know about the upcoming week.” These general tarot questions usually result in a pretty general answer. I was surprised to see how spot on it was for me!
