Does your Tarot reader have a code of ethics? I strongly believe that, just like doctors, lawyers, and other professionals, Tarot Advisors should have a code of ethics that they follow and make available to their clients. There is a difference, of course. Licensed professionals have organizations and procedures in place to oversee and punish members when they fail to meet their standards. In the Tarot field, there exists no such oversight, so it is even more important to ask your Tarot reader if they have a code of ethics.
What a Code of Ethics Should Contain
At a minimum, it should cover:
- A statement of honesty and integrity
- Privacy Policy
- Who the Advisor will not read for (minors, those who are impaired)
- Third-party readings
- Asking for medical, legal, investment, or other professional advice
- Fees and refunds
- Position on foretelling the future
