Yesterday was about elevating myself. Today is about elevating others! The September Tarot Challenge prompt is “In what area am I guided to elevate those around me?”
Guided to Communicate
The Three of Wands makes its fourth appearance this month and practically shouts “communication”! I feel the figure sending their thoughts out into the cloud just like a writer on the internet does. Writing is really coming back to me with this month’s challenge. I am working with my own personal knowledge management in a way that makes it easier to experience creativity, so the feelings of being guided to write are spot-on.
Guided to Persevere
The Nine of Wands, in this spread, is about perseverance. The end is near, but the fight still rages on. The figure in this card bandages their wounds and rests before making the final push. This card speaks to me because my usual M.O. is to get really excited about something, go at it hard, and then burn out. This card guides me to pace myself, take breaks when needed, but continue on.
The first two cards speak strongly to me about using my communications to guide and elevate others. Looking at them together, I feel a subtext of divination. The Three of Wands involves visions in smoke, while the Nine of Wands shows burning offerings.
Guided to Branch Out
The Eight of Cups reminds me of the parable of the prodigal son. The figure in the card has almost everything they need; they lack just two cups to be complete, so they leave what they have, what they know, behind and go searching for the two missing cups.
In the context of being a guide to others, this might mean broadening my writing horizons. Don’t fall back on the same old subjects, but find other subjects about which to write. Perhaps broaden my base by submitting articles to publications. For a prompt using the word “guide”, this card stands out for explicitly going where no guide exists.
The Eight of Cups is, at its root, about finding what is missing in life. Perhaps I can guide people to what is missing from their own lives through my writings.
What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot
I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.
Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
