Day 29 of the September Tarot Challenge and the prompt is “How am I invited to build upon September moving forward?” The first thought in my mind when Justice appeared was the question of my October challenge. I want to take a story from the news every morning and do a predictive spread on it. How will the news item turn out?

Justice - Lo Scarabeo - BuildBuild on a Base of Justice

While I want to build upon my Tarot skills by testing my ability to predict future events, there is a fairness or justice element to it. My decision not to read on missing persons, murder, or assault cases is based on this sense of fairness. The object of this challenge isn’t to solve cases or help (or hurt) anyone, but just to predict an outcome. Finding the right kind of news is going to be difficult; it needs to have an outcome fairly soon in order for the challenge to work and I’m not sure I can find enough stories.  I might do this challenge at some other time, or just do it as events that meet my criteria appear in the news. Justice is here to remind me to read Tarot honestly and without bias. It also reminds me not to take on something too difficult for me or that might hurt other people through my own failings. To build upon Justice is a difficult, but worthy, goal.

Nine of Wands - Lo Scarabeo - BuildTo Build is to Struggle

The Nine of Wands is back to remind me that the work isn’t over. I’m still learning and growing. This card is about preparing to get back into the struggle, perseverance, and courage. September shouldn’t be a one-off and harnessing yesterday’s Chariot energy will build up my Tarot and blogging chops. Daily blogging isn’t much of a struggle for me and I’m eager to continue. Those captured weapons tell me to look for tools to help my blogging from different sources.  This might be prompts or challenges from different sources, or just branching out from those and choosing topics as I find them. This last idea, choosing topics as I find them, isn’t optimal. It is too easy to draw a blank.

Six of Wands - Lo Scarabeo - BuildBuild on Victory

The Six of Wands comforts me. This card says that I have done well in September and to continue with my successes into the next month. There is a public aspect to this card. Victory in the Six of Wands is not a personal, internal victory, but something shared and celebrated by a community. Because of this connotation, I feel encouraged to keep blogging in the public sphere. My reading for this prompt is more vague and nebulous than any of the previous readings this month. All I feel is “Do the right thing”, “Keep going, you aren’t done”, and “You succeeded last month, build on that success”.  Sometimes the message is simple and doesn’t need embellishment.

What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot

I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.

Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
