A quiet mind is a blessing when you are anxious, upset, or just feel outside of your skin. Today’s meditation is about 30 minutes, so a little longer, but is a really nice one. David Sealey, the creator, has a wonderful voice and I use this quiet mind meditation at bedtime to calm my racing thoughts so I can sleep.

Let me know what you think about including longer guided meditations like this one.

What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot

I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.

Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.

Hello Sophrosyne, good meditation, David’s voice has just the right tone to help you relax. Did you make it to the end or did the meditation work before that? When I first started meditating about six years ago, I used a couple apps to learn, then used YouTube in the classroom to teach my kids as I was researching the benefits at the time. I must say, finding good meditations is a bit tricky. Do you have any tips? Currently, my go-to meditation app is, Empower You by Hay House. There are tons of great meditations to choose from that are usually by one of my favorite authors, so I know I will like them. Thank you for sharing. Sending lots of love and light. Jaime

I actually used this meditation last night, but fell asleep before the end! I use the Calm app for daily meditation because I like the lessons and they also have walking meditations which fit better into my schedule right now. Calm also has sleep stories that you can listen to in bed that also put me right to sleep. I’ll have to check out Empower You.

I have not needed calming meditation. I have explored several and at one time they were useful. Now that I am retired, life is good and I am almost always in a relaxed state. When stressed I can almost immediately relax with a few deep breaths and a quiet place.
Sometimes it irritates others that I do not get worked up about things like they do.
After completing a blog post for this challenge, I am very tired and I fall asleep almost as soon as My head hits the pillow. I seldom recall rolling over from the side I first lay down on.
    Blog on!

Like Doug, I am most often not stressed (though there have been ups and downs :)) I try to recall what keeps me cool and collected and that helps me when I do get stressed.. most often, it is thinking of loved ones that calms me the most
