The end of 2022 is fast approaching so today’s September Tarot Challenge is timely. “What is something I should create for myself between now and the end of the year?”
Dealing out this spread this message popped into my head: “Cultivate a sense of abundance and recognize abundance in your life”. That’s certainly a strong, clear message! My second thought was, “Oh look, the Three of Wands and Ace of Cups again”. Am I not getting their message or is it just that the message they have is so important to me right now?
The Ace of Cups makes its third appearance in the past five days. I feel like I’m not getting its message right. The feeling I get with this card today is abundance, ever-flowing knowledge, energy, and vitality. Am I being told to contemplate these things and how I use them in my life? What really catches my eye is the hand. This is a gift being literally handed to me. Am I accepting it?
Finally, a new card appears, the Ten of Pentacles. I’ve had the ten for all four suits now which confirms the feeling that I’m “leveling up” or ending one phase of my life and starting a new one. There is also the reminder that the end of the year is literally an ending and some people see it as a new beginning as well. The Ten of Pentacles is about having and enjoying abundance, both in the material sense, but also regarding family and knowledge. The message from this card is about abundance, but there is also the feeling of a teacher giving nuggets of knowledge. Probably because the image reminds me of Dumbledore!

Cultivate Abundance
Dealing out this spread this message popped into my head: “Cultivate a sense of abundance and recognize abundance in your life”. That’s certainly a strong, clear message! My second thought was, “Oh look, the Three of Wands and Ace of Cups again”. Am I not getting their message or is it just that the message they have is so important to me right now?
Abundance Within
For the Three of Wands, instead of communication or waiting, I’m getting the sense of seeing images in smoke, like scrying, but I don’t feel this is about seeing the future. I think this is again telling me to pay attention and really understand what is going on inside of me. Contemplation. Meditation. Yes, I restarted my meditation practice yesterday and it felt wonderful and very, very natural. I feel like the break I took helped me focus better. Don’t wait until the end of the year to make resolutions. Make them every day.

Sharing Abundance
As I contemplated the Ten of Pentacles a feeling of hoarding my knowledge, gathering information, and keeping it safe. This is kind of a dark, unnerving current in this card. The child and dog look expectantly, but the figure holds his treasure close and looks directly outward, ignoring his companions. The more I think about it, the more I feel that the message of the Ten of Pentacles here is to hold on to my gains until I understand I have the abundance to share. For me, the end of the year is a relief. I don’t enjoy the holiday seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Too much family baggage there to unpack and deal with. But by the new year, all of that is past and I usually feel a sense of relief. The message of this spread is to recognize the abundance in my life and create a practice of thankfulness for that abundance. What Clients are Saying about Sophrosyne Tarot
I was advised to ask open-ended questions instead of predictive questions which I thought was helpful because I never would have known if it weren’t for the reader. The reader provided the reading along with some advice too so the entire reading was very thorough and explained in an understandable manner.
Everything said was accurate and helpful for me to identify my flaws in order to grow as a person. I have learned a lot about tarot and what it does to help me.
